The Kona Electric SUV model comes with many new features. For instance, the AC can be limited to just the driver, thus saving power and increasing the range. The car comes with shift-by-wire automatic transmission, Electric Parking Brake and One Pedal Driving. The 17.7-inch display inside, is compatible with Apple Play and Auto Auto. Being an electric car, the Kona is silent & To prevent mishaps with pedestrians, however, there is a virtual engine noise option.

Adjustable regenerative braking system optimizes the braking to utilize regenerative capacity to the fullest & maintains a healthy state of charge in the system.
In smart regenerative braking system, the radar sensor automatically controls a level of regenerative braking according to the traffic ahead. Furthermore, smart regenerative braking also detects the vehicle movement i.e. whether it is moving downhill or uphill and adjusts itself accordingly to increase the overall efficiency.

The system automatically increases and decrease the speed within the preset limits in accordance with the moving traffic.
The vehicle comes to a stand-still when the traffic stops. However, once traffic moves again, the motors automatically start after a slight push on the accelerator.

Hyundai is collaborating with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd to offer DC charging ports at select filling stations across India. So in case, there will be the option to charge somewhere nearby, In addition to the option to set up an AC wall mount charger at home to charge up the car. There is the option to use a portable AC charger that goes into a normal socket, Plus, Hyundai also offers a roadside charge assistance option in case a customer is stuck on the road.
